SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is a set of practices that helps to improve your organic search rankings. The goal is to increase the visibility of your website pages, articles, blog posts in the results pages on popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, Bing, and AOL.

Rich SEO helps you rank higher because it improves how well those search engines understand what content should be displayed for specific keywords or phrases typed into their respective search bars.

How does SEO work?

In order to explain how SEO works, we need to first define a few of the most important ranking factors that search engines look at. These are:

LSI KEYWORDS- LSI KEYWORDS Means Latent Semantic Indexing. These are the targeted keywords or keyword phrases that have been determined to be relevant through previous research. They also help to prevent readers from getting confused and rather increase traffic to your content.

Backlinks – Backlinks come from other websites and they allow you to point your website’s domain name towards another site so that it links back to yours with an anchor text link. This is a very important ranking factor because it tells search engines which site should be ranked higher when both sites contain the same keywords.

SEO Checklist- The SEO Checklist is a sequenced approach which assists you in taking actions and helps you ensure a fast increase in Google rankings.

Content – This includes usage of LSI keywords or LSI keyword phrases and how relevant your content is to those specific terms. For example, if you are writing an article about “cell phones” but never mention that word cell phones then this could hurt your rankings for that term.

Keyword Usage density – The keyword density of a specific article is important when writing content because it tells search engines how often that word should be used in order to rank well for those terms. For example, if your post talks about “cell phone cases” and you only use the words once then this could affect your rankings. If you use those words frequently then you will rank better because it tells search engines that this is something you are good at writing about.

Trust – This factor looks for how trustworthy your website or domain name appears to be based on things like age, backlinks, and other ranking factors. The goal of trust signals is to try and ensure that visitors who click on your site in the search results are not going to be annoyed by ads, popups, or other things that could hurt their experience.

Penguin Algorithm – This is Google’s algorithm that looks at website spam and tries to penalize websites who use black hat SEO tactics such as keyword stuffing, buying links for traffic (not recommended), or using too many ads.

Google Panda Algorithm – This is Google’s algorithm that looks at the content on your site and tries to determine if it has any duplicate, low-quality, or thin content. They do this because they want their users to have a great experience when searching which means not having to sift through website after website of low-quality information.

When writing articles or blog posts, you want to make sure that you do not use any of these black hat SEO tactics because it could get your site penalized and result in a lower search engine ranking. Remember – Google’s goal is to provide the best possible results for their users which means giving them links from websites with high-quality, original content that is relevant to their search terms.
